Program Night — Marketing for Artists: Experiences in Building a Small Textiles Business & Selling Woven Artwork, Rachel Snack

Rachel Snack is a weaver, teacher and textile conservator. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Fiber & Material Studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her Master of Science in Textile Design from Philadelphia University. Rachel is the founder of Weaver House Co., a textile studio and yarn shop dedicated to preserving craft tradition through hand-making and weaving education.
Rachel will share her journey in building a small textiles and weaving business, how to market yourself online as an artist, and her experiences in collaborating with other businesses and textile companies. She will also give a tour of the Weaver House shop and studio, and answer questions about her woven work, educational experiences and weaving practice.
