BatemanKathy Bateman, Platypus Dreams
In 2001 I started Platypus Dreams with the core belief that you can wear silly hats and still be a productive member of society at the same time (commissions welcome)! I also work, teach knitting classes, and design patterns for Hill Country Weavers.
I enjoy knitting, crocheting, and weaving on my rigid heddle loom. In particular I take a special joy in designing patterns that combine techniques (weave+knit, knit+crochet, crochet+weave).

CarmelInga Marie Carmel
I teach beginning weaving and eTextiles, and weave primarily household goods.
I enjoy exploring the boundaries of what a loom can do as much as I enjoy the old Swedish textiles that form my cultural heritage, and so you will find wire, electronics, and straw among the linens.

DoakSandra Doak
I am a weaver and design woven wearables. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kent State University, with a focus in fiber.  I have an interest in all kinds of fiber art, textiles, etc. I like to create new fabric techniques and explore the use of color with plain weave and twill. When I design wearables, I let the woven fabric dictate the wearable design.

I sell clutches woven from recycled yarns and VCR Tape under the name Fringe Benefits. In 2010 a vest I wove with sock yarn won a prize in a Handwoven Magazine contest.  I primarily weave yardage for clothing. I am interested in using unusual materials which lead me to weave clutches from recycled yarns and VCR Tape.  They are available Artisans Connect in Georgetown.
