SHARE is a completely in-guild event, free to members and taught by members. We will focus on warping and other things beginners might need to know to get over those first few humps.
Bring your portable looms — e.g. Baby Wolf, Wolf Pup, Baby Mac, table looms or rigid heddle looms. We’ll try to have a guild loom or three, and will walk you though the steps to warp your loom. Project to be determined, something narrow with not too many ends so we can get through it all quickly. If you bring a rigid heddle loom we can show you how to put on a warp using the same technique used on a shaft loom, which is useful for longer warps and sometimes when there are a lot of color changes. We may also be going over direct warping of rigid heddle looms.
We will need to move all our gear into the kitchen overnight because of a morning program they use that room for.
Registration is free, but please let us know if you are coming so we can plan ahead. If you can teach, let us know that too.
