LATE BREAKING NEWS! : New start time for meetings at Northwest Rec Center on 2nd Thursday of the month.
To accommodate the much clamored for time to socialize, and continue time for show and tell,we are going to START meeting at 6:30p.
Regular meeting will start promptly at 7p and end by 8:45p to allow time for clean up before the center closes at 9p
Thursday, September 12 Program Night “What did you do last summer?”, Travel logs from the Saori trip to Japan with Sidne Tieman and Susan Bussard and from the clothing design trip to Italy with Mickey Stam.
Thursday, September 26 Project night. Saori Weaving and spinning wheel adjustments.
Thursday, October 10 Program Night “Tool Time”, Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite tools with a story. These might be unusual, or antique, handmade, or repurposed.
Thursday,October 24 Project Night, Simple woodworking to create tools for weaving and spinning inspired by “Tool Time”, for example, making a rigid heddle for band weaving or stick shuttles.

Thursday, January 9 A Project Night to remember. Learning a simple folk dance with a guest from the Austin Folk Dancers and Viking chain knitting.

Thursday, February 27 Program Night, Spinning, Susan Fricke from Yarnorama . Susan is a very versatile spinner and fiber artist and will inspire us with her experiences.
Thursday, March 13 Program Night, Twills, Meg Wilson. We are looking forward to seeing how Meg has more than stretched the boundaries of twill in her stunning weavings.
Thursday, March 27 Project Night, we continue our study of twills. Anytime you want to bring your wheel and spin on project night you are welcome to do that.
Thursday April 10 Program Night “Ravenstail Weaving”, Sharon Bramblett. Last spring our guild bought a DVD on Ravenstail in memory of Pam Pate. We will view this unique Chilkat weaving style with Sharon Bramblett.
Thursday April 24 Project Night, Sharon will get us started on the creation of our own weavings. She will need a count of how many weavers to prepare for.
Thursday May 8 Program Night, Band weaving is too much fun to overlook this year. There are probably enough examples to stretch all the way around the room. Bring your examples and small looms and we will share inspiration, history and some instruction too….all the way around the room.

Thursday, June 12 Summer pot luck. We will have the new slate of officers to vote on and time to share summer plans.
Thursday, July 10 Program Night, Our last program of the year. I hope you will take this opportunity to bring your show and tell, finished Ravenstail, Andean bands, and whatever else you might have created recently. We will get some pictures and have short meeting with a DVD on fine hand spinning to watch. I hope you will come and vote in our new slate officers. We must celebrate what a fabulous group you all are as our year ends.
Thursday July 24 The final project night of the summer will be free time to work on projects and see what everyone is working on.
