Learn about different types of hand weaving looms at our February program night meeting. WSSA Equipment Manager Susan Morton will provide an overview of several types of looms including inkle, rigid heddle, table, tapestry, backstrap, jack, counterbalance and countermarch looms. We will discuss how different looms work and their suitability for various types of weaving projects. We’ll have examples of looms at the meeting and Eileen Thompson, Sidne Tiemann and Inga Marie Carmel will share comments about the looms they have used. Susan will also discuss weaving equipment that members can borrow from the WSSA guild inventory. If you are new to weaving or want to try a different loom, this presentation is a must!
Come at 6:30 pm for socializing, with the meeting starting at 7:00 pm. Remember to bring your show and tell! Look forward to seeing you there.
