Our monthly program nights are held over Zoom. Some study groups are also gathering via Zoom, or have hybrid (online and in-person) meetings. Links to Zoom meetings and addresses of in-person gatherings are sent to the guild membership in email. Zoom links and addresses are also available to members under the “Events” tab in the membership section of our website.
General Guild Meetings
Our guild year runs from September to July, with elections for officers at our June meeting. We don’t meet in August. There are no Hands-on Night meetings in November or December.
Program Night Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month. It is currently held over Zoom.
Hands-on Night is the 4th Thursday of every month and currently meets in-person at the Austin Recreation Center, 1301 Shoal Creek Blvd, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Study Groups
We have several study groups. In general, they have met during the day at a member’s house. Some are currently being held over Zoom. Physical locations or zoom links will be posted in the Googlegroup, on the membership events calendar, or published in the guild newsletter.
Other
There is a general interest group for dyes of all kinds that is only in email.
There is a Handweavers Guild of America: Certificate of Excellence group that is only in email.
There is a group taking the Fall 2024 MAIWA Natural Dyes Workshop together, meeting monthly, in-person, beginning in September.
