WORKSHOP: “4-shaft Krokbragd and Summer & Winter Rug Weaves with Janet Phillips”

WSSA is pleased to announce that Janet Phillips, author of Designing Woven Fabrics and Exploring Woven Fabrics, will be our instructor for three Saturdays in February.

This Zoom-based workshop will be held February 8th, 15th, and 22nd from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (Central Time) each day. Janet will help us explore design, techniques, and guide us through to weaving and finishing a small sample. Zoom link will be provided by, and sessions will be recorded by, the instructor. Recordings will be available for three weeks after the workshop.

After the Zoom workshop has concluded, participants will gather together in person, and with their own looms, on Saturday, March 1st from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to continue exploring what they learned in the workshop. This “lab day” will be held on the beautiful St. Edwards campus in Austin.

Please note: Students must be confident about putting a warp on their loom. Class will be limited to 15 students, with a minimum of 12.

Registration for this workshop is now open. Cost is $200.
