We had a workshop leader cancellation and have moved some of our meeting times around. Our 2nd Thursday of the month meeting in January will be at the NorthWest Rec Center and will feature the Albanian distaff folk dance with a guest teacher from the Austin Folk Dancers. What a great way to celebrate St. Distaffs Day! It was performed slowly in a circle, and I think we can all handle this. We will also learn Viking chain Knitting. Our 4th Thursday meeting will be at Austin Rec Center as usual, and will be a Tips and Tricks meeting. Come and share your favorite weaving or spinning trick!
In February we are also switching the project and program nights. On the 13th we will make very sophisticated woven and braided Valentines. Susan Fricke from Yarnorama in Paige will be presenting a spinning program on the 27th. We will be planning a Spin in after this meeting.
