Rug Hooking with Charlotte Allison

The WSSA and renowned weaver Charlotte Allison (remember her as Miss Hannah from our January program) have teamed up to offer you the opportunity to learn rug hooking from the ground up!

When: Saturday, March 18, 2006. We’ll start at 9:30 am, work till lunch, choose which restaurant to go to for lunch (Charlotte recommends Crank Frank’s Barbeque or the local Mr. Gattis), and work till 3:00 or 4:00 that afternoon.

Where: Fredericksburg, Texas. Charlotte is kind enough to host the workshop in her own home. The address and directions will be given to you upon registration.

Cost: $50. This will include everything except lunch; Charlotte’s helping hands and great experience and a supply kit with everything you’ll need for your first rug. The kit will contain a simple design drawn on linen, roving to hook with (though Charlotte will also have some wool fabric strips on hand), material to finish the back, a hook and a frame.

Class Size: Limited to 10.
